I decided to check out my local Mercedes dealers GLE inventory. Stock photos are bad enough as it is, but this is whole new level of bad. They don’t even accurately represent the car!

Well, the GLE looks pretty similar to the ML anyway.

I don’t know whats the problem here. Unless you forgot that the M-Class also uses the name GLE from now on.

True...
But I think they are different enough where they should at least switch out the stock images.

One thing my Subaru dealer does which makes me crazy is they don’t match the colors of the stock photos. They have one in every color for say a Forester
So if the model is a blue forested the stock photo is white.
The white forester had a stock photo in black
The black forester Will have a green stock photo...
So you have to click each one individually to try and find out color since they don’t list it on the main list...

I know, along with gaining the model designation GLE it also got a facelift.
GLE vs. ML

That’s awfully annoying...
Car dealers need to try harder.

Big deal. They made it bloaty-er. And your local dealer was too lazy to update the stock images.

Well let’s compare what can be actually compared, the GLE pic you posted has the AMG package, that’s what it will look like without it:
